Time to begin our journey and learn all about me, Christian Hall.
Not so long ago in a city that isn't too far away. . . .
Christian John Hall was born on March 11, 1995 in New York City. He is a native New Yorker by birth, but did not get to live in the Big Apple for long. When he was still a baby, Christian and his family relocated to Gig Harbor, Washington for the early years of his childhood. In 2000, Christian and his family fortunately moved away from the constant rain of the Pacific Northwest to his beloved, sun kissed paradise of San Diego, California. He is the middle child of three and grew up in the Northern San Diego suburbs for the entirety of his childhood from kindergarten through high school.
Christian grew up having a passion for storytelling and sharing information. From a young age, Christian was curious about the world around him. From the scientific understanding of Earth and the universe to immense interests in fictional worlds, this young kid would cultivate a desire for information that would remain with him for many years. Christian was raised entertainment, especially Disney Animation and Star Wars, from as young as he can remember. His love of these franchises along with television, films and pop culture in general primarily inspired him from a young age to want to be in the entertainment business.
Christian first began to apply his skills later on in his childhood when he realized he could use his natural gifts as a cultivator of accurate information, as well as a love for cinema and television. In middle school, Christian took the video production class available at his school and had creative freedom to film video projects and was a part of the student-made Marshall Morning News.
Christian's interest in the television and entertainment industry only grew as he continued to grow up. In high school, he worked for the Falcon 5 News, and eventually was involved in all aspects of the school's television opportunities. From filming and editing to anchoring and scriptwriting, Christian rounded the bases and immersed himself in a field he absolutely loved.
Eventually, the time came for Christian to figure out the next steps of his adult life and go to college. But where could he go when he had an idea of what he wanted to do (be in the entertainment industry somehow) to apply his passion and skills, but was not yet cemented in what exact field or position he wanted to commit his life to? Well USC ended up being the dream school that he actually got accepted to. USC was close enough to home so that he could still be in his beloved SoCal environment but far enough away to be on his own in the heart of the entertainment industry.
Christian is now a junior studying Broadcast and Digital Journalism at USC Annenberg while also minoring in Cinematic Arts through the USC School of Cinematic Arts, fusing together his two passions for television production and the entertainment industry as a whole. Christian believes that journalism is crucial to our global digital lives and that is a privilege to learn the skills in this evolving field. Christian wants to be a journalist in order to share relevant information to improve the lives of others through transparency and innovation.
Christian dreams of one day working for his biggest passion, The Walt Disney Company, and is looking forward to see where the path of life guides him in the world of television and entertainment. If he is not talking to you about some sort of franchise, you can find him at the beach, visiting Disneyland, ranting on Twitter, or playing with his dog.
